Henri Rousseau

Henri is one of the most unique artists the world has ever known due to his lack of any formal art training. His work is also void of any influences from arts movements though he is said to have been a forerunner of post-impressionism by many admirers among some of his artist friends were Picasso along with many prominent avant-garde art aficionados and artists. He also worked with an unusual technique that he created and decided on himself, he worked from the top of the canvas down and painted the different colors also one by one. He works first with say the blues over the whole canvas then moves from top to bottom again with the other succeeding colors that in combination makes his complete picture.
